How to set up your Mailchimp account?

Setting up a MailChimp account is simple. Visit the link below and you will be able to create a free account with MailChimp that will be associated with your Village data and information.

• We suggest creating the MailChimp account with an email associated with your Village's domain name, such as info@yourownvillagedomain.org  rather than a free email account (like gmail, hotmail, etc). Using an email from your own domain will help with delivery rates and help avoid your email campaigns being sent to spam folders. If you do not have a domain email address, you can set up an email forwarding through your Domain Registrar. If you have any questions about this, reach out to your Domain Registrar or support@helpfulvillage.com and they will be able to further assist you. 

Once you have created an account you will next need to create an API Key for your HV platform to communicate with your MailChimp account. Please visit the link below to show you how to do this:

Once you have created a MailChimp account and have an API Key created. You have to create an audience named “Helpful Village”. Helpful Village will only interact with that Mailchimp audience.

Once you have a Mailchimp account and an API key,  please send support@helpfulvillage.com an email with the information below and we will add that key to your server.
