Contacts who unsubscribe themselves will need to resubscribe through your signup form.
Please note that this signup form is only to be used resubscribe contacts that had already been added on Helpful Village and then synchronized with Mailchimp.
Please follow these steps to create your resubscribe signup form:
Press the "Create new form" button.
Select the "Signup landing page" option.
Give the form a name (i.e. Helpful Village resubscribe) and choose the Helpful Village audience, then press "Begin".
You can choose any template or style you want, but we recommend keeping the form simple and we suggest the "Grow Your List" template.
You can customize the signup form, add your logo and edit the text inviting your contact to add their email address and hit the "Subscribe" button. When your form will be ready, don't forget to hit the button "Save & Close".
After saving, you will see a summary of everything we just did. If everything is correct, press the "Publish" button to make that signup form available.
Now you have a landing page that allows your contacts to resubscribe to your mailing list. Just send them the link to that page. And invite them to fill it out and resubscribe.
After you contact has done that, please log in to your Mailchimp account as an admin, search that contact and look up their Mailchimp status. If the status is "Subscribed", everything has gone well and this person is now successfully resubscribed.
If the Mailchimp status is "subscribed", go have a look at the person's profile on Helpful Village. They should have the "mailchimp" checkbox checked and none of the other "mailchimp_unsubscribed" (or similar) boxes checked. You can always hit the "Mailchimp Sync. this person" link on the "General" tab.
If you still cannot resolve the situation, please create a ticket and ask Helpful Village support about this providing as much information as possible (the email and name of the person, and printscreens of the Mailchimp profile and HV profiles).
