How to synchronize with the MailChimp button?

If a user has the Mailchimp checkbox selected and a valid email address, a checkmark (✔) will appear next to their name when you view the group in Helpful Village.

Once you have verified that your group is correct, click Synchronize with Mailchimp.

Helpful Village will update the information in Mailchimp, ensuring that contacts are assigned to the appropriate groups and receive the correct tags.

💡 Notes

• Always update users' email addresses in Helpful Village, not in Mailchimp. Helpful Village synchronizes information with Mailchimp, but the synchronization does not work in reverse. Changes made to email addresses in Mailchimp will not be transferred back to Helpful Village.
• Automatic synchronization: Helpful Village automatically synchronizes Active Members, Active Volunteers, and Events with Mailchimp every Thursday. You can also synchronize manually at any time.
• Active Members and Active Volunteers mailing list: To prevent people who are both Active Members and Active Volunteers from receiving the same email twice—once as a member and once as a volunteer—we have created a combined mailing list called Active Members and Active Volunteers. This list synchronizes automatically every Thursday or whenever you click the synchronization button.
