Design a Communications Schedule for your Village:
HV recommends that you first designing a Communications Schedule for your Village with a list of messages you want to send each month
Here is what we recommend sending:
- A monthly newsletter to all your Village newsletter subscribers
💡 Note:
Some great resources for constructing a newsletter is building one with MailChimpwhich offers a number of templates that can be customized. Another resource is Canva.com They are a great tool for building images, banners, and other things to help with marketing your Village. Once you have created your newsletter, send it to your Mailing List and then upload it to your website/platform. This gives people the ability to go back and review your past newsletters.
- With Helpful Village you have the opportunity to activate an automatic task that sends a weekly email on Sunday with the Events Calendar To your Active Members. The email may contain a generic introduction to your email followed by the list of events for the next two weeks that contain live links to the events and to RSVP. If you are interested in setting this up, please contact support@helpfulvillage.com.
- A target message to your list of Prospective Donors and current Donors when starting a Fundraising Campaign. Including information about how your Village/Organization uses this money and the positive impact it has on the community can be useful while trying to grow the Fundraising efforts.
- Sending a targeted message to your list of Prospect Members or Prospect volunteers informing them of the services offered and any additional information about your Village/Organization can help get more Prospects interested in being involved.
💡 Note:
- Always update user’s email information on Helpful Village, not on Mailchimp
- Helpful Village will synchronize with mailchimp making sure the information is accurate, however this does not work the other way around, Mailchimp will not send user’s email information back to Helpful Village
