How to add a person to a Mailing Tag List ?

First, search person on home screen 

Select persons name and click EDIT 

Make sure the person is an Active Member

Once you are in the person’s profile select the "Mailchimp" checkbox 

Scroll down to Update 

A User message will appear at the top of the screen letting you know update was successful

Return to Home Page,

Go to ADMIN → People Management → Groups

Select Mailing List 

Members: People in the database whose membership status is ‘Active’ and membership expiration date has not been reached.

Active Volunteers: People in the database that have been screened and whose volunteer end date has not been reached.

Prospects: People are present in a Prospect Mailing lists if they have an open Prospect Task of that given Prospect Category.

Events: Mailing list of people that receive the Sunday weekly email. 

💡 Note: 

• Always update user’s email information on Helpful Village, not on Mailchimp 

• Helpful Village will synchronize with mailchimp making sure the information is accurate, however this does not work the other way around, Mailchimp will not send user’s email information back to Helpful Village
