Settings: Money

To access the Money tab, go to Admin → Settings → Money.

Fundraising Campaigns

Within the Money tab, you can configure the fundraising campaign that will be displayed when someone clicks the Donate Now button.

To select a default fundraising campaign, click the downward-facing arrow to open the dropdown menu. You can choose from the following options:

• Background Checks
• Events
• Fundraising for COVID-19
• General Fund
• Scholarships
• SIP Members

Background Check Donations

You can select Background checks require a donation from the volunteer if you want volunteers to pay for their own background checks.

Normally, the cost of background checks is charged to your Village. When this option is enabled, however, volunteers will receive an email with a link allowing them to make the payment themselves.

Credit Card Processing Fees

You also have the option to add a credit card processing fee. This feature is completely optional.

If you enable this option, donors will see an additional checkbox when making a donation through the Donate Now button. This allows them to choose whether they would like to cover the credit card processing fee.

Processing fees can also be added to submitted payment forms.

After selecting your preferred settings, click Save.

Donor Fee Option

If you enable the option to add a credit card processing fee to the donation page, donors will see the following option after clicking the Donate Now button at the top right of the page:

The donor can check the box to cover the processing fee, allowing them to include the processing fee in their donation amount.
