How to create a zoom event with version 1? – HELPFUL VILLAGE

We will explain how to add an online zoom meeting link for an event, but for more security on your zoom meetings and much easier access for users, we recommend you check out the Zoom Module Premium Feature.

You can connect HV with Zoom by using a shared link

Create a new Event → To access this feature go to Events → Events List → [ADMIN] New Event

Fill in the details of the event like you normally would when creating a new event.
Once you have finished writing the description and chosen whether or not you would like the event to be visible to users, you will see the online meetings box
Click on "Use a less secure way with a shared link"

Check the box "is there an online meeting URL?"
Put the link into the "Online meeting URL" bar
Check the box "I accept the risk, I wish to..." box

💡Note:
In order to have the "Join Online Meeting Now" button, you have to choose a RSVP option with instant registration (RSVP and instant registration or NO RSVP and instant registration). You have to set the registration deadline at the end of the event so that you do not close event's registration, taking away the "join online meeting now" button.

SAVE your online meeting

💡 Note:
Do not select the check box "Is there an external registration url", if the registration takes place in Helpful Village. We do not recommend putting the meeting link on the instructions field, for security reasons. Pressing the "Join Online Meeting" button, participants will be redirected to the zoom meeting straight ahead.
