- Open to All
The event is publicly visible on your Village’s website. Anyone visiting your public site (including non-members) can view the event details and register if registration is enabled.
- Members Only (login required)
The event appears on your public calendar but shows as “Members Only”. Members must log in to their Helpful Village account before they can register. This is used when the event is exclusive to members and you want to verify their login credentials. - Members Only (no login required)
The event will still display on the public calendar with the label “Members Only”, but no login is required to register. Anyone can technically fill out the registration form, though the event is intended for members. - Volunteers Only (login required)
Shows on the calendar as Volunteers Only. Volunteers must log in to register. Non-volunteers cannot register. - Volunteers Only (no login required)
Shows on the calendar as Volunteers Only. No login is required to submit the registration form; anyone can technically submit, but the event is intended for volunteers. - Members + Volunteers
The event appears on the calendar labeled Members and Volunteers. Both groups can view and register for the event. Depending on your site’s configuration, login may or may not be required. - External Website Conditions
Used when visibility/registration is managed on an external site. If you are using this one - tick the box "Is there external registration URL?" or put it in the instructions section of the event. - Blank
If this field is left blank, the event will still appear on the calendar but without any category label (it won’t say whether it’s for members, volunteers, or the public).
Registration will not be possible for this type of event.

We will select the "No online Sales" ticket type, and we will explain the other options in another article. You can leave the capacity value on zero, this event's capacity is unlimited but you can also determine a capacity limit. You can add an external URL and an online meeting url, you can also indicate some instructions for an event. Instructions will be sent in the confirmation and reminder email.
You can set several options such as send a reminder email a day before, accept donations for that event, enable comments, mark the event as canceled and you can add a person that is registered on HV such as the organizer person and complete the event's location data.
You can then add a picture for this event and a description on it, and decide to make this event visible or not to the users. If the event is not visible, the event will be only visible for Admins.
After preferences for the event are chosen, you can click SAVE!
The weekly event email is sent at midnight on Saturdays and it is sent to the mailing list event.

The article does not specify that the user must SAVE.
Also, there is a small trick about adding a picture. It's best to save everything first and then add the picture.
