We’re excited to help you get started with Stripe integration! For your Village, you’ll be setting up a Payment Account to manage regular transactions such as membership fees or event payments.
If you don’t already have a Stripe account for your Village, you can create one by visiting Stripe’s registration page.
Suggested name: Payments [Name of Village] Account
Let’s walk through the setup process step by step:
1. Email Support to start the Setup
Email support@helpfulvillage.com with your Village/Organization name to notify us that you’d like to begin integration. We’ll prepare the necessary security measures for your Village to start accepting electronic payments and we will send you an email inviting you to proceed with step 2.
2. Access the Helpful Village Platform
Log into your Helpful Village account and navigate to:
Menu → ADMIN → Settings → Money (Tab)
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the button labeled:
‘Connect Credit Card Payments with Stripe’
3. Authorize the connection on Stripe
Clicking the button above will direct you to the Stripe login page. Use your Stripe account’s username and password to log in.
You will then be prompted to connect your Stripe account to Revolutionaging Inc. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.
4. Confirm Authorization
Once the connection is completed, send an email to support@helpfulvillage.com to confirm your Stripe authorization.
5. Await Confirmation from Helpful Village
The Helpful Village team will notify you via email when our servers are ready to process payments.
6. Test Payments
Go to your Village website on Helpful Village, log in, and make a small New Payment (e.g., $5) (Look for yourself and go to Pay tab → New Payment Button). You can verify the transaction in the "Transactions” section of your Stripe dashboard.
