How to create a Household Membership?

Another type of Helpful Village membership is a Household Membership.

Household Membership

A Household Membership allows you to add one or more Associated Members to the primary member's membership.

Associated Member

An Associated Member is a feature that allows you to link two members within Helpful Village as part of the same household membership.

Creating a Household Membership

To create a Household Membership, go to the member's Membership tab and select Household under Membership Type.

Adding an Associated Member

Under the Membership tab, click Associated Members.

This is where you can link another person to the primary member's household membership.

When adding an Associated Member to a Household Membership, the member whose profile you are currently editing is considered the Primary Member.

Enter the Associated Member's First Name, Last Name, and Email Address, then click ADD.

The Associated Member does not need to already exist in your Village database.

If the Associated Member Already Exists

If the Associated Member is already in your Village database, Helpful Village will display a prompt with their existing information.

Select the person and click Update This Person's Membership.

Once the Associated Member has been added to the Primary Member's profile, their name will appear under Associated Members.

You can click the Associated Member's name to open their user profile.

On the Associated Member's profile, the Primary Member will be displayed with a gray highlight, making it easy to identify their household connection.
