What is the "Groups" function for?

The "Groups" function is used for Mailing Lists and Tags (MailChimp), Volunteer Services, Village Builders, etc. 

You can add new subgroups, within a main group, such as a new Village Builders group or Volunteer Service. You can also edit pre-existing sub-groups, such as rename the volunteer service "Drive" to "Transportation". 

💡 Note: 

If a group (Mailing List, Village Builders, Volunteer Services, etc. is synchronized with MailChimp, you will not be able to edit the name). 

• If you are looking to delete a group, but there is associated data (such as a service request with that service type/group you are trying to delete) you will not be able to delete it, this is because it needs to preserve the data and records. 
• Another option is to edit the group and then archive it. This option allows you to "hide"/remove the group but preserves the data associated with it.
