How does the Safe Service Clearance feature work?

There are three components to make Safe Service Clearance feature work:

1) Set up a group such as Safe Service Clearance

2) Set up Safe Service Clearance for volunteers

3) Services Requests with Safe Service Clearance

1) We will explain how to set up a group with the Safe Service Clearance feature.

Choose the group which you would like to apply this feature. We will choose groups in which there is a higher risk such as "Friendly Visit","Drive", etc. Edit the group.

Select the "Is Safe Service Clearance required for this type of service?" check box and SAVE.

Now the group is set up.

2) Now, we will explain how to set up this feature to a specific volunteer.

Go to a volunteer profile → press on the Volunteer tab

Scroll down and check the "Safe Service Clearance" check box and SAVE.

Now the volunteer is set up.

3) Now that we have set up a group and a volunteer with Safe Service Clearance feature. We will show that if we create a new service request for a group with Safe Service Clearance feature, the service request will be created automatically with the Safe Service Clearance feature.

Let's create a service request for "Friendly Visit" activity in which our volunteer "Luisa Barbara" will volunteer.

We create a service request for "Friendly Visit".

Now if the volunteer looks the open service requests, the service request which we have created will only be shown to volunteers who has the Safe Service Clearance check box selected.

The volunteer can now volunteer for this service request.

Once the volunteer has accepted to volunteer for this service request, you as admin can verify that if you edit the service request, you will able to see that the system automatically checks the "Check if Safe Service Clearance required" check box for the service request. 

💡Note:
Anyone with full Admin rights or Service Manager rights have the ability to bypass the SS Clearance.
