How to edit a "Volunteer Service group" name?

Go to:

Admin → People Management → Groups

There are two different scenarios, depending on whether the Volunteer Service is synchronized with MailChimp:

1. The Volunteer Service is not connected to MailChimp.
2. The Volunteer Service is connected and synchronized with MailChimp.

1. Volunteer Service Not Connected to MailChimp

If the Volunteer Service you want to rename is not connected to MailChimp, click View next to the service.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Edit This Group.

Update the group's name and any other information as needed, then scroll down and click SAVE.

The Volunteer Service name has now been updated.

2. Volunteer Service Connected and Synchronized with MailChimp

If the Volunteer Service is connected and synchronized with MailChimp, you must first remove it from MailChimp before changing its name.

Go to the Volunteer Services list and click View next to the service you want to rename.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Remove from MailChimp.

A confirmation message will appear confirming that the group has been removed from MailChimp.

Once the group has been removed from MailChimp, scroll down and click Edit This Group.

You can now change the group's name. Once you have made the necessary changes, click SAVE.

The group name has now been updated. Click View to open the group.

Add the Renamed Group Back to MailChimp

To reconnect the renamed Volunteer Service to MailChimp, scroll down and click Add to MailChimp.

A confirmation message will appear once the group has been successfully added.

Scroll down and click Sync with MailChimp.

A confirmation message will appear once the synchronization has been completed successfully.

The Volunteer Service has now been renamed and successfully reconnected and synchronized with MailChimp.
