You can use this attendance mailing list to send email updates about the event to people who signed up for it. For example, if the event has been canceled, you can send an email specifically to people who signed up for the event to inform them about the cancellation. This will avoid spamming the wrong people.
First, go to: Events → Events List
Select the event for which you would like to create an Event Mailing List for
Click on Attendance List
Then scroll down to the bottom and click “Sync Participants with MailChimp”. This will automatically create the mailing list for this event in Helpful Village and in MailChimp of the people who are registered for the specific event. This will help you avoid having to manually create the mailing list in “Groups.”
You can now see the new attendance mailing list you created by going to Admin → People Management → Groups → Tagged People
Now let's send an email to the people who signed up for the event informing them that the event has been canceled. You can do this using Helpful Village’s email messenger or you can use MailChimp.
Go to Admin → Email Messenger
Click on New Email
Select the Event mailing list you created in the drop-down menu under “Tagged People”
