While creating a service request, there are a couple of misc. items that are addressed here.
Unable to find a Member when searching:
- If you cannot find the member when searching while creating a new service request, you will need to check if that person's membership is "Active" and that the Membership expiration date is in the future.
- If the member is expired, the system will not allow a new service request.
Flexible Requests:
- When creating a flexible request, there still needs to be a date entered for the request. We suggest using the last date that the Organization/Village would like it posted or the last date a member can go to have it filled.
- This is necessary for our system to know how to sort flexible requests.
- When a volunteer is matched with a Flexible request, they have the ability to update either the date, the time, or both, depending on the type of flexibility that was marked when the request was created.
- The volunteer will be able to update the time/date ONCE after agreed upon with the member. If there are additional changes, an admin or service request manager will need to make the changes to the time/date.
"Check If Last Call":
- This is a checkbox that is displayed for admin or service request managers.
- This will highlight the Flexible request and inform volunteers this is their last chance to help this member before the Village suggests a paid provider.
- Used for Flexible Date requests that have been advertising and is about to be removed because of no volunteers were able to assist the member.
"Check If Important":
- This is a checkbox that is displayed for admin or service request managers.
- This allows admins to highlight a service request (i.e. medical appointment).
Additional Beneficiaries:
- This feature allows you to add another member to a single service request
- This can be used when a volunteer is taking two members to an event, etc.
