How to promote a Village event on Facebook?

Learn how you can promote/share events from your HV platform to a Facebook page. This is a great tool to help with outreach on events that help the Village. 

First, find the event on your HV platform that you would like to post to Facebook. 

Once you are on the event, you will see a small ‘Facebook Share’ button in the corner of the ‘when, where, who’ section of the event. Select "Share".

A Facebook window will appear. If you are already logged into Facebook, it will allow you to post to your own personal profile. If you manage other Facebook pages (such as a FB page for the Village) you can click the drop-down area for ‘Share on a page you manage’ and choose which page you would like to share to.

You can also write an intro text to the event. This could be about the Village, about the event, etc. 

Then click "Post to Facebook" at the bottom of the page.

Now you can see your post!
