If you have the ‘Mailchimp’ checkbox checked and a valid email address, there will be a ✔ next to the user’s name when you look at a group.
Once your group looks good, hit the ‘Synchronize with MailChimp’ button.
The Helpful Village server will update the information on MailChimp, put them in the right groups, and give them the right tags.
💡 Important Note:
- Always update the user’s email information on Helpful Village, not on Mailchimp.
- Helpful Village will synchronize with Mailchimp making sure the information is accurate, however this does not work the other way around. Mailchimp will not send user’s email information back to Helpful Village.
- Helpful Village will auto synchronize active members, active volunteers, and events every Thursday. You may manually synchronize whenever you want.
In order to prevent members who hold both the member and volunteer status from receiving a message twice addressed to them as both a member and a volunteer separately, we have created a new mailing list called "Active Members and Active Volunteers” group. This will synchronize automatically every Thursday or when you press on the synchronization button.
